Are you from Lexington?
They made Peanut Butter Squares in the cafeterias at the school I went to in Lexington, Ohio. I was searching for the recipe because I wanted to have a bite of nostalgia and stumbled upon your blog. I just couldn’t help but think you could be from Lexington since you mentioned growing up in Ohio.

No, this is NOT sugar free when made with Splenda for Baking. As Gina noted, Splenda for Baking is a blend of sugar and Splenda.

Splenda also has the same recipe with plain Splenda on their website, in addition to the Splenda for Baking recipe. The results are much better on this cake if you use the creaming method; in other words, make it like a regular pound cake. And make sure you don’t over or underbake it; either one is fatal.
